Enum Class MemoryTier

java.lang.Object
java.lang.Enum<MemoryTier>
com.tnsai.memory.strategy.MemoryTier
All Implemented Interfaces:
Serializable, Comparable<MemoryTier>, Constable

public enum MemoryTier extends Enum<MemoryTier>
Tiers in the memory consolidation pipeline.

Memory progresses from Working (raw, short-lived) through Episodic (compressed sessions) and Semantic (facts) to Procedural (workflows). Higher tiers are more compact, more valuable, and decay slower.

  • Enum Constant Details

    • WORKING

      public static final MemoryTier WORKING
      Raw observations, tool outputs, chat exchanges. Session-bound.
    • EPISODIC

      public static final MemoryTier EPISODIC
      Compressed session summaries, key events.
    • SEMANTIC

      public static final MemoryTier SEMANTIC
      Consolidated facts, patterns, conventions.
    • PROCEDURAL

      public static final MemoryTier PROCEDURAL
      Extracted workflows, recipes, how-to sequences.
  • Method Details

    • values

      public static MemoryTier[] values()
      Returns an array containing the constants of this enum class, in the order they are declared.
      Returns:
      an array containing the constants of this enum class, in the order they are declared
    • valueOf

      public static MemoryTier valueOf(String name)
      Returns the enum constant of this class with the specified name. The string must match exactly an identifier used to declare an enum constant in this class. (Extraneous whitespace characters are not permitted.)
      Parameters:
      name - the name of the enum constant to be returned.
      Returns:
      the enum constant with the specified name
      Throws:
      IllegalArgumentException - if this enum class has no constant with the specified name
      NullPointerException - if the argument is null
    • decayRate

      public double decayRate()
      How fast memories in this tier lose strength (higher = faster).
    • retentionBase

      public double retentionBase()
      Base retention score for this tier (higher = more resistant to eviction).
