Strategy for how an agent decides its bid value. Implementations can use LLM calls, heuristics, or fixed values.

Determines the bid value for an agent.

Parameters:

agent - the bidding agent

taskDescription - what is being auctioned

currentPrice - current price (relevant for English/Dutch auctions)

round - current auction round

previousBids - bids from previous rounds

Returns:

bid value, or Double.NaN to abstain from bidding
